Dia de los Muertos Editions

According to legend, in Janitzio, each November 1st on the night of the Day of the Dead, the ghostly guardians beneath the lake awake to the tolling of the church bells of the town. They emerge from the water to be with those who celebrate and remember them. Our Limited Editions—like the Janitzio Joven and the 13-year Ajijic Edition—are unique spirits deeply rooted in Mexican culture.

TASTING PROFILE

The Janitzio Edition is amber with golden hues and has notes of caramel, butterscotch, peppers, orange zest, and is finished with creamy sweet cooked agave.

THE MATURATION

The Janitzio Joven is a masterful blend of Blanco, Añejo, & 13-yr Extra Añejo (less than 2,000 bottles). Our previous Ajijic Edition featured a 13-year Extra Añejo aged in hand-selected ex-Bourbon barrels in Los Altos, Jalisco.
